Lenny Behm, President of Behm Energy, has worked in all phases of the family businesses. Prior to forming his own company, Lenny’s core responsibilities were Exploration & Production Superintendent for SunBehm Gas, Inc. and Manager of Prairie Energy, a workover rig business. Under his supervision, several field discoveries were made, and many exploration & development programs were implemented in North Dakota and Montana. In 1976, Lenny formed a joint venture with Gulf Oil that led to some of the first vertical Bakken and Nesson producers in Billings County, North Dakota.
Lenny has been involved in numerous oil & gas wells in addition to many other projects and large lease blocks. Some of these wells are located in the areas listed below. Most of these discovery and development wells have had multiple pay zones, including the Madison, Bakken, Duperow and Red River Formations.
Additional successes of Behm Energy have been the assembly and sale of large lease blocks and development packages. These blocks total thousands of acres of mineral leases. Some of these packages have been sold to prominent companies who are now developing multi-well locations on single pads. Behm Energy continues to operate and manage its interest in wells in western North Dakota and northern Montana as well as build new exploration plays through its mineral leasing efforts.
Lenny and his team of geologists and land professionals are fostering development of oil and gas resources of the Williston Basin in North Dakota and other basins in western Montana.
